Laura Hofmann, MD

Laura Hofmann, MD completed her medical school and residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) in Dallas, TX. She has worked in several settings, including as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at UTSW and at the University of Pennsylvania and as a primary care physician in Maryland and Washington, D.C. After several years in primary care, she decided to pursue further training in Palliative and Hospice Medicine and completed her fellowship here at George Washington in 2018. She then went on to work as a Hospice Medical Director and the Medical Director of Education at Capital Caring Health, until joining the Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine at George Washington University as an Assistant Professor. Her interests include medical education and the medical humanities.
